Don’t Hate On Your Enemies!
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Matthew 5:44
We all would like to go through life thinking that everybody loves us. We are the apple of everyone’s eye. When people see us coming they light up.
Not!
Everyone isn’t going to like you, that is a fact. You have people out there who dislike you for all kinds of reasons. People will dislike you for your beliefs, and the way you look, because you are confident, the color of your skin, your weight, where you live, and your position on your job. People will dislike you because they can.
That dislike makes you their enemy. They can’t stand you. You can be as nice as you want to be to these people, they are going to see you as the enemy. Where does this behavior come from?
I wonder is it me, or is it them? Should I be concerned?
No!
I have decided and suggest you should also love your enemies. I know, you might think I am crazy for suggesting that we should love people who dislike us. The people who have hurt our feelings have lied to us and about us, who would like to see us go down.
