Faith & Patience The Power Twins

The Bible says that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:17

My first thoughts about writing this post were to place faith and patience against each other. To see which was most important having faith or having patience.

Then it hit me faith and patience go together. They are the power twins. They are like peanut butter and jelly. They are good separately, put them together and you are in for something great!

Faith is not the product of reason but of the reborn human spirit. Faith is a tangible force.

Fear is also a tangible force. There are some people who put their confidence in fear which really means they are driven by fear. When you are driven by fear. You are driven by worry. Faith produces results.

2Timothy 1:7 says God did not give us the spirit of fear but of love power and a sound mind.

When dealing with faith you can’t have doubts going through your mind. You have to have the mindset that you know what you know and nothing is going to change that. You must stay true to what you believe. You can’t even let your own thoughts allow you to think differently. No matter what it looks like you must stay in faith mode. Determined to stay focused on whatever you are believing for is going to happen.

Example: When I signed up with medium in May of 2021. I was so intimidated by everyone on this site. I thought all these professional writers making a difference and a whole lot of money to boot This isn’t for me.

Fear told me, I wasn’t good enough to be on medium. So I didn’t start to write on medium until Oct. or Nov. of 2021. Before medium, all I was doing over the years was posting comments on other platforms. I even quit doing that after a couple of years due to fear really wearing my ass out. Mind you, I live by faith. Every good thing that ever happened to me in my life happened because I had faith. Now here I am being intimidated by a website. A website that does a whole lot of good! Being the never-giving-up person that I am, I told myself what do you have to lose? You can make some really good money if you work hard and stay with it. If they can do it, you can do it. “It’s not rocket science. It’s doing what you love to do, write”.

I don’t have real skills or experience in a whole lot of things except my life experiences. Sounds like a plan to me I told myself. All I have to do is write about what I know. I know faith! “I also know, without faith, I wouldn’t be here writing about faith”. Faith makes all things possible. Jesus said, out of the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak. Matthew 12:34.

The power of patience is a working power. When faith looks like it’s about to go down for the count. Patience comes to faith’s aid. Patience embraces, holds its stand. Patience has the ability to stay, hang in there. Stay cool, and calm.

6 Benefits Of Having Patience.

  1. Having the quality of waiting calmly without complaining.
  2. Having the ability to look at one's good qualities and individual traits of the people around you.
  3. Patience has no limits.
  4. Patience doesn’t mind waiting.
  5. Patience is common sense.
  6. Patience is inner peace and keeps a smile on your face.

Like peanut butter needs jelly. Faith and patience need each other to combat problems and keep us from burning out.
