How long are you allowed to stay mad at someone?

Not for the rest of your life that’s for sure! May I explain something to you? Staying stuck on being mad is not going to make your situation better. You must put on your big boy/girl/other pants and get over it. Use this experience as a life lesson. Ask yourself where is the lesson in this.

“We are all humans and human beings get mad all the time. It is a part of life. Either you stay angry, that’s never a good look. Nobody wants to be around you because you are angry. It never fails every time they see you, you’re angry about something or at someone.”

Staying mad/angry can eventually cause you health problems. Staying angry or holding onto resentment can have negative effects on both our mental and physical health.

  • Staying angry can stress out your heart. Research shows that anger (even momentary anger measured by changes in facial expression) results in changes in the heart that worsen the muscle’s ability to pump blood to the heart. Which can cause other heart issues that can cause you to have a heart attack.
  • Chronic anger can suppress the immune system, making it less effective…
