I remember when I applied for a job that I just knew I was going to get. You could not have told me that they were not going to hire me. My resume was full of all the experience they needed to fill this position.

Well, guess what? I didn’t get the job. You could have knocked me over with a feather, two feathers. I am thinking how dare they not hire me? Do they not know what position they are hiring for?

What Do I Do Now?

This was seriously a kick in the gut. I put all my eggs in this basket and they all cracked. Should I or shouldn’t I reapply for this job? Is this something I want to do? What should I do differently? Should I ask the interviewer why I didn’t get the job? What do I have to lose by reapplying for the job in a few months?

It is wise to reapply for the job you were rejected from if it is posted again in a few months. This gives you time to rebrand yourself and enhance your credentials. This will also allow you to think about why you are reapplying for the job. You need to make sure this is something you want to do.
