Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Colossians 3:12

When most people think of success they think they have to accomplish all these huge goals. “Never giving a second thought about the small accomplishments.” Simple everyday tasks when thought about offer so many mental health and stress-free benefits such as :

Making Up Your Bed

Everyone believes when you get a good night's sleep your body is rested and when you wake up you are refreshed and ready to start your day. “No truer words have ever been spoken.” The same can be said when we make up our beds in the morning. When making up your bed in the morning you have that feeling of accomplishment before you leave the house.

That gives you a mental boost and puts you in a positive mode of wanting to accomplish more throughout your day.

According to William H. McRaven, retired Navy four-star admiral and format chancellor of the University of Texas System. Raven wrote a book about the key mental health benefits of making your bed. The book is “Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life… And Maybe the World.” McRaven also suggests that making your bed in the morning sets you up for success.
