The Power Of A Compliment!
Compliments are like medicine, they are good for the soul.
“Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those that hear them.” Ephians 4:19 NLT.
A well placed compliment is very powerful tool when aligned with affirming an individuals efforts and contributions. It can boost someone’s confidence while strengthen relationships, reinforce healthy habits, and even lead to increased mental and physical health.
Being a person who gives and receives compliments on a regular basis. I must admit I never heard someone say don’t take compliments seriously. I take all the compliments I get seriously because when I give a compliment it comes from the heart and that to me is serious.
I will admit, I don’t wake up everyday looking for a compliment. I compliment myself all the time, so I’m good. For those who would wonder why I would compliment myself because, I value myself. I compliment others because I know they value themselves also and gives them such a soothing feeling. Even if it only lasts for a few minutes, it has the potential to change the way a person thinks about themselves.
