The RV Lifestyle Is In Style!
And Jesus said, Have faith in God. Mark11:22
When my great, great, great grandfather acquired 80 acres of land way, way, way, back in the day for $1 an acre when slavery was in full effect. Little did we know through family generations that part of the land would become an RV campground.
The Idea
I had heard two years prior from a cousin that the family was going to open an RV campground. “My attitude was like okay whatever, and kept on talking.” At that time my cousin was living on the land. From what I can remember, he was asked to come keep the land up so the house wouldn’t deteriorate and the land wouldn’t go to the weeds from lack of care.
Two years went by after I had that conversation with my cousin about the family opening up an RV campground. My oldest brother and sister-in-law had retired and they were heading our way to start the next chapter in their life. Another brother who was next to the oldest was willing to invest capital in helping to get this project up and running.
For the next couple of years, they did what was required to open a real estate business of this magnitude. It was a good thing my brother had experience when it came to city codes, permits, licenses, and dealing with inspectors, laying pipes, and whatever certifications were needed.
