The True Meaning Of Prosperity!

Sometimes you just have to get spiritual

“When people hear the word prosperity. The first thing they think about is having enough money to pay their bills and living comfortably. Having the freedom to want nothing. Abundance, having more than enough, success, and well-being would be a good definition of prosperity.

There are people in the religious sector who would try and get you to believe that God doesn’t want you to be prosperous. They think God wants us to be barely making it. “Just enough to get by”.

The Bible doesn’t say anything about God not wanting us to be prosperous.

If anything, it’s the opposite. God takes pleasure in our prosperity.

Ephesians: 19–21

19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Jeremiah: 29–11

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God’s will is for you to prosper spiritually, physically, financially, and in every area of your life, In fact, He takes pleasure in your prosperity! If you’re not seeing this in your own life, start confessing Psalm 35:27 and believe this word is for you! Faith requires the corresponding action. As you favor God’s righteous causes, you will experience God’s prosperity. Bill Winston

Here are a couple of ways we can increase our prosperity with God.

  1. Diligence: One must seek God consistently, making a strong effort. Not putting other goals ahead of seeking God.
  2. Seek God in everything: Before any job, career, projects, or goals. Seeking God first should be a priority. Jeremiah 29:12 says, Then you shall call upon me, and you shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. Jeremiah 29:13 tells us when seeking God, and searching for Him. “We will do it with all our heart”.
  3. Our desires should be to want to know God, yearn for His teachings through the Holy Spirit while building our faith trusting in God.
  4. God does not need our money. When we tithe/give it’s for our benefit, not God’s. When you honor God with your tithe you are showing God that you are not arrogant. We are letting Him know that we are not putting our trust in our money but in Him.
  5. When you work hard and become successful in life, don't think you are better than someone else because of your success. Remember it is God who gives you the power to get wealth.

“The way things are today with all the hate, people, losing their minds, lies being told, brainwashing, people turning against each other for any little thing. “Let’s not forget covid”. No respect or morals”. Decency has definitely left the building!

It’s nice to know we have a God, a Spirit, a higher being. Whomever you want to address Him as, who loves us and takes pleasure in your prosperity. Material things, good fortune, and social status, God has no interest in worldly ways. At the same token, He delights in seeing us prosper materialistically, financially, emotionally, physically.

God said we should not desire these things before Him. When you put God first all the other things you desire will come.
