There Is So Much Power In Being Silent!

There is a time to keep silent and a time to speak -Ecclesiastes 3:7

We are surrounded by so many different sounds all day. They come from cars, technology, construction, the wind, rain, lightning, nature, and people.

“People make the most sounds that come in many different ways. They yell, scream, cough, sing, burp, hum, hiccup, groan, giggle, pant, sneeze, laugh, and speak.”

Approximately 7,111 different languages are being spoken today. Speaking is the sound of hearing someone's voice at any moment, at any time around the world. There are very few places in the world where you can go and not hear a noise or someone saying something.

Silence is the most important and powerful thing to have when you welcome it. “It has taken me a long time to learn this. I was so used to running off at the mouth defending everything that was being said to me, needing to speak from my point of view. Not, that I wasn’t good at it and there were times when my opinion was valid and valued.”

When I was introduced to the power of being silent, I learned having to speak and wanting to get my point across isn’t necessary. When you are silent, you are powerful. You speak volumes when you are silent. I know that might sound crazy to most people because we live in a world that is full of noise. People…
